How to Prepare for your Headshots or Personal Branding Session

Your headshot and branding session is more than a set of images, it’s a thoughtfully curated representation of your business, your message, and the value you bring. Every detail is designed with intention, creating a cohesive and elevated visual presence that reflects who you are and what you stand for.
From your headshot to your full branding collection, each image is crafted to communicate confidence, professionalism, and an inviting sense of approachability, ensuring you make a lasting, meaningful impression across every platform.
BEFORE YOUR SESSION:

Choose outfits that align with your profession, corporate, creative, or approachable service-based looks. Pick the number of outfits needed for the package you purchased. Pants or bottoms must match top, occasionally a 3/4 length option will be given.

Solid colors and neutral tones photograph best. Avoid busy patterns, logos, and neon colors. Use neutral tones if you plan to change website.

Well-fitted, structured clothing elevates your look and photographs confidently.

Wardrobe pressed/steamed, free of wear and tear, transported in garmet bag.

Keep accessories minimal and intentional. Layers can add depth and variety.

Professional styling is recommended. Keep your look polished and clean.

No haircuts within a week of photo session.

No shaving the day of as well.

No spray tans, may leave blotching.

Please arrive camera-ready with hair and makeup fully completed prior to your session. Professional hair and makeup services may be added with at least 7 days notice (preferably 14 days); on-site services include stylist fees plus a $150/hour studio time rate. Bring your lipstick for touch-ups, and allow at least one hour between your appointment and session time to account for travel and a moment to relax. Please ensure your stylist is aware of this timeline.
