Planning for your Boudior Photography Session
BOUDIOR PHOTOGRAPHY GUIDE
What to wear:
-
Look through your own clothing, no need to run out and buy new outfits. Find what makes you feel beautiful and photo ready.
-
Consult with your photographer ahead of time about the outfit(s) you plan to wear. They can assist with finding what will be best. It is imperative that you and your photographer are clear on the style or look before the session.
-
Layering is best so you can remove items or add for different looks. Bringing accesories like jewelry, scarves, hates etc., will help finish out your look.
-
Loose clothing needs to be worn without bra and underwear to keep from getting any indentions in skin etc., while getting hair, makeup and traveling to shoot.
-
If new items of clothing are purchased, order with plenty of time before the date of your session. Allow time for any alterations done if needed as well.
-
Clear deodorant
-
All clothing needs to be wrinkle free and ready to go for the shoot.
-
Bring a pair of white, nude and black underwear & bra
-
Bring a pair of each nude and black heels
Hair & Make-up:
-
If your hair and makeup will be done off-site, plan to schedule your appointment 3–4 hours before leaving for your session. Allow extra time for travel and traffic, and connect with your stylist to confirm how long your look will take to complete.
-
For updos, ensure your hair is securely styled and pinned in place
-
Keep facial makeup soft and matte, limit shimmer to the eyes
-
False lashes are highly recommended for a polished finish
-
Clearly share your desired look with both your photographer and makeup artist (natural, dramatic, smoky eye, voluminous curls, etc.)
-
Bring your lipstick for quick touch-ups during your session
